Here’s why Origami places a heavy emphasis on Performing Arts.

Performing arts, such as theatre, dance and music, have a significant positive impact on children’s self-esteem. At Origami, we firmly believe that these artistic disciplines will foster a sense of self-expression, creativity, self-worth and teamwork skills.

Children can explore many characters and feelings through theatre, which helps them better understand and express themselves. Children who dance are encouraged to express themselves physically, learn discipline and improve coordination. Children can express their feelings and grow creatively with the aid of music.

Children are encouraged to take part in a variety of events and productions at our school throughout the year. By doing so, they can overcome stage fright, improve public speaking and gain confidence. Children’s concentration, memory and focus are all improved via the process of practicing, preparing and performing.

In addition to their practical advantages, performing arts provide kids with a positive sense of themselves. They gain an appreciation and respect for both their own and other people’s skills and capabilities. They gain resiliency and confidence, two qualities necessary for success in all facets of life.

In conclusion, performing arts at Origami are extremely important in assisting kids with building their self-esteem, self-expression and self-image. We take pride in giving our little ones a chance to discover and grow their abilities in music, dance and theatre.

Here are a few ways how the students of Origami take Performing Arts to new heights!

Our children take the stage to voice their opinions and ignite debate discussions on global matters, national issues, and local news and class material fostering critical thinking and confident public speaking in front of their peers.

Our children cook up a storm in the classroom, whipping up delicious recipes and sharing their culinary skills with their classmates.

Weekly dance classes become a rhythmic journey of self-discovery and expression, where students move beyond boundaries and find their unique style, grace, and fluidity.”

Each morning, our assembly transforms into a lively forum of thought-provoking, individualistic discussions, where students share their unique perspectives on current topics in front of all their peers.
