Curriculum
At The Origami Concept School, we have a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum for all, that fulfils the requirements of the children with different learning abilities. Our curriculum provides a broad base of experience in specific domains to move rapidly in acquiring more complex skills.
Our concept school follows Cambridge Curriculum and is governed by the IGCSE board, all while incorporating the revolutionary Finnish Pedagogy.
Benefits of the Cambridge Curriculum:
Success in Cambridge qualifications often gives students admission to the world’s best universities – in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and beyond.
Cambridge qualifications are accepted and valued by universities around the world, including MIT, Harvard and Cambridge. They are recognised as qualifications that prepare and equip students with the skills they need to succeed both at university and beyond. The independent research and critical thinking skills, as well as the deep subject knowledge that this curriculum brings is valued by universities world over.
The Cambridge Board works with these universities when they revise their qualifications to keep the learners updated as well and prepare them for the ever-evolving world ahead.
Primary Years at Origami
The first five years of primary school are invested in the development of learning skills. It is here that we start building and focusing on the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of the children while allowing them to analyze their strengths and play by them.
The children progress by taking short, strong and firm steps forward while being sure and clear with their goals and purpose. The lessons are learnt with a purpose using real-world references.
In the primary years, we offer:
- English as the first Language
- Science
- Global Perspective
- Mathematics
- Tamil/Hindi
In the learning process, we build their academic and generic skills, including critical thinking, reasoning, observation and verbal skills. We strongly believe that acquiring these skills will help them reach a high success quotient.
Cambridge Early Years
Cambridge Early Years is a systematic approach to a sound foundation. The program developed for 3–6 year olds sets the stage for young learners to have the best possible academic life.
At Origami, we bring together the best of the Cambridge Early Years program combined with the Finnish Teaching Pedagogy to create joyful learners.

Our environment allows the child to explore the world around them and make sense of its elements. In the process, we set a daily routine as they learn to organize their days. By nurturing the learner mindset with warmth, care and commitment, they enjoy their learning journey.
Middle School at Origami
For learners aged 11 to 14, the middle years provide a clear path to progress in the Cambridge pathway. In this period, learners explore deeper, inspire bigger, stretch further, play livelier, create bolder, think bigger and reach higher as they happily prepare themselves for the world. Together they collaborate on common goals and projects to achieve high standards.
In middle school, we offer:
- English as the first language
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Math
- Global Perspective
- Tamil/Hindi/French
